Battle of the Queue

Kelly and I are new members of Netflix. It has been pretty cool so far. We are getting to see a lot of good movies, and are able to find some movies you wouldn't normally see at Hollywood Video. The problem we have started to run into is the battle over the movie queue. Yesterday I came home and looked at the movie queue to see what was in the mail and noticed some new movies at the top of the queue. I had recently moved some of my movie choices to the top, that were now 3rd or 4th on the list. It seems that we are both fighting to keep our movies at the top. I am consdiering a surge of 20+ movie titles that will knock all of Kelly's titles off the queue, and hopefully silence her once and for all. Only time will tell if my plan works. Wish me luck!!

Cross Worlds

This guy is racing at the World Cyclocross Championships, and he is from just north of the Cheddar Curtain. Wisconsin really does put out some great cross racers. Take a look at the photos of the course on his blog. It looks like a ton of fun, but most likely will be a slop fest.

Music in the Mix

Music (new and old) I have been listening to lately:

Muse (various tracks)-They definitely sound a lot like earlier Radiohead (which isn’t a bad thing) but also add some U2 style arena rock to the mix.

Junior Boys (various tracks)-Kelly found these guys. They do some great groove stuff.

Stone Roses “Stone Roses” -Still a great album 18 years later. Wow 18 years!! I am getting old.

Professor Murder (various tracks) -They put out some fun dance/punk music

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals “Cold Roses”- Ryan Adams is definitely one of the best lyricist out there.

Primal Scream “Exterminator”- I always liked this album. The Chemical Brothers produced some of the tracks, so it definitely has a Big Beat edge to several songs.

Fujiya & Miyagi (various tracks)-Kelly also found these guys. They put out some good grooves.

Crazy Course

This vieo is from the Hoogerheide WC Cross Race. Talk about some serious mud and no traction. These guys are the best in the world, and they were just hanging on for dear life.

The Devil

Here is one of our favorite photos of the Devil. Don't be fooled by his smile, he can't be trusted!

Da First

So, here I am, I have created a blog. What do I do now? This blog will probably end up containing mostly cycling related thoughts. I am a competitive cyclist and race for this team. I am also a big music fan, so expect a good dose of music reviews and concert reports. I also travel a good bit with my wife, Kelly, so I expect there will be some of that on here as well. We also like checking out new restaurants so there will probably be some restaunt reviews. We also own a 20 lb Welsh Terrier named Bernie, AKA The Devil. He is a big reason for laughter in our house, as well as yelling. I think that is it for now, but there is definitely more to come!!
